The basics
What is OPS Care, in one sentence?+
A documented electrical-safety program for your property — regular licensed inspections, a written record of your electrical system over time, member pricing on any work, and priority scheduling.
How does this actually help me?+
Three ways. Safety: a licensed Florida electrician checks your panel, wiring, surge, and GFCI/AFCI protection on a set schedule, so problems are caught before they become failures or fires. A record: you get a signed certificate each time, building a documented history you can hand to an insurer, agent, or buyer. Better economics: member pricing on quoted work, your first service hour waived, and free estimates whenever you do need work.
What do I get if nothing ever breaks?+
That's the point — you still get the scheduled safety inspection, the signed documentation, member pricing locked in for whenever you do need work, and priority in line. You're paying for readiness and a documented record, not for something to go wrong.
Pricing
What is the "per door" charge?+
A "door" is one rentable unit — a single apartment, condo, or rental space. Coverage for property owners is a base monthly fee plus a small amount per door, because the work scales with the number of units: every door gets its share of the inspections, included visits, and priority response. Example: Portfolio is $299 + $5 per door, so a 10-unit building is $299 + (10 × $5) = $349/mo, covering all 10 units.
Is the member discount worth the fee?+
The discount is a bonus, not the core value. The real value is the inspection, the documented record, and priority. We deliberately don't run this as a discount club — the membership earns its keep through readiness and the record that compounds over time.
Why OPS Care
How is this different from just calling an electrician when something breaks?+
A break-fix electrician starts from zero every time — they don't know your panel, your history, or what was flagged last year. With OPS Care we already know your property because we keep the record, so diagnosis is faster, recommendations are smarter, and nothing slips through the cracks. You also skip the back of the line — members are seen first.
Isn't this just a home warranty?+
No — it's the opposite. A home warranty is something you file claims against after something fails. OPS Care is preventive: a licensed professional documenting and maintaining your electrical system so failures are caught early, plus member pricing and priority when you do need work. There are no claims to deny.
Why OPS over another electrician's service plan?+
Most trade memberships are discount clubs — pay a fee, get a percentage off. Ours is built around your property's documented electrical record, which compounds in value the longer you're a member: every visit makes the next one smarter and your documentation stronger. A competitor would start blind.
Coverage, policies & response
What's NOT included?+
Membership covers the inspection, documentation, member pricing, and priority. It does not include free repairs, parts, or unlimited labor — actual repair and installation work is quoted separately, at your member rate. That's what keeps the price honest and low.
Are you licensed and insured?+
Yes — OPS is a licensed and insured Florida electrical contractor serving the Jacksonville area. All work is performed to code by a licensed professional.
How fast do you respond?+
Response targets by tier (business hours are Mon–Fri, 7am–6pm ET). Home: priority scheduling — same business day if you reach us before noon, otherwise next business day. Portfolio: 1-business-day contact, roughly a 3-business-day on-site target for non-emergency work. Premium: same-business-day contact with a dedicated point of contact, a 1–2-business-day on-site target, and priority emergency response. These are targets we staff toward, not guarantees — during peak demand we'll always tell you proactively if we're running behind.
Can I cancel?+
Memberships run for the term you choose (3, 6, or 12 months). You can turn off automatic renewal anytime, free — your benefits run through the end of the term you're in, then it simply doesn't renew. If you cancel before a term ends, prepaid fees aren't refunded for the unused part; OPS provides a prorated refund if we can't provide the service (for example, you're outside our area) or where Florida law requires.
What if I sell my property?+
Your coverage and your property's documented record can pass to the new owner — a real selling point. You have two free options: transfer the remaining term to the buyer (they accept the agreement and must be in our service area), or move your membership to your new home if it's in our area (one free move per term). If neither works, the unused portion of your term is refunded prorated.
Will membership lower my insurance?+
It may help you qualify for better consideration. Florida insurers increasingly weigh the condition of a home's electrical system, and your signed safety certificate is documentation you can share with your insurer or agent. Any discount or premium change is solely your insurer's decision — OPS cannot and does not guarantee one.
Where do you serve, and how do I start?+
The five-county Jacksonville area: Duval, St. Johns, Clay, Nassau, and Baker. Outside that, you can join the waitlist. To start: apply (no payment up front), we confirm you're in our area and that we have capacity to serve you well, then we send your Membership Agreement to sign — your benefits and priority start the moment you're active.
Want the fine print? Every policy — billing, cancellation, renewal, transfers, response targets — is published at our policies page.
